How to Pay Your Electricity Bill in Pakistan
Pay any electricity bill in Pakistan with Easypaisa, JazzCash, an online wallet, or your bank app, in a few simple steps. You only need your reference number, and the app finds the amount for you.
Check your bill firstWays to Pay Your Electricity Bill
You can pay an electricity bill in Pakistan in many ways, and they all use the same thing: your reference number, the long number printed at the top of your bill. The app or service finds your current bill from that number and shows the amount, so you do not type the amount yourself.
Below are clear steps for the most common apps, then other ways to pay, and a few tips. The methods covered here:

- 3 Enter your 14-digit reference number from your bill and tap Next. The app finds your current bill and shows the amount and the name on the connection.

How to Pay with a Bank App (HBL, UBL, Meezan, MCB)
Almost every bank app in Pakistan pays electricity bills, and the steps are much the same in each one. The pictures below show the UBL Digital app as an example; HBL, Meezan, MCB, Allied, and others follow the same path.
- 1 Open your bank app, sign in, and tap Payments in the bottom menu.
- 2 Tap Bills and Payments.
- 3 Tap Utility Bills.
- 4 Tap Add to add a new bill.
- 5 Tap Select Company and choose your electricity company, then enter your reference number and tap Save. Note: the UBL app labels this box Enter Consumer ID, but you still type your reference number here. Some other bank apps ask for the consumer number instead, so check the label on your own bill.
- 6 Your bill now appears under Utility Bills. Open it to see the amount, then pay and approve with your PIN, fingerprint, or face.
You need an account with that bank to pay from its app. The pictures below show UBL Digital; other bank apps such as HBL, Meezan, MCB, and Allied work in much the same way.
Other Ways to Pay
If you do not use the apps above, there are still easy ways to pay your electricity bill.
Bank ATM
Most bank ATMs have a Bill Payment menu. Insert your card, choose Bill Payment, then Electricity, pick your company, and enter your reference number to pay. This works across most banks in Pakistan through the 1LINK network, so you do not need an ATM of your own bank for every biller.
Other bank and wallet apps
Almost every bank app and mobile wallet in Pakistan can pay electricity bills, including HBL, Meezan, Allied, NayaPay, and others. Look for the Bill Payment or Utility section, choose Electricity, pick your company, and enter your reference number. The steps match the bank-app walkthrough above.
Over the counter, agents, and post offices
You can also pay in person at a bank branch, an authorized payment agent, or a post office that collects utility bills. Take a printed copy of your bill, or at least your reference number, and keep the stamped receipt they give you.
Good to Know Before You Pay
Always check the amount first
Before you confirm, make sure the amount and the name shown in the app match your own bill. If they do not, stop and check your reference number again.
Consumer ID or reference number?
Many apps label the box Consumer ID, but they actually take your reference number, the longer number printed on your bill. So if one number does not work, try the other. Both are printed on your bill.
Keep the confirmation
Every method gives you a receipt, either an on-screen confirmation, an SMS with a transaction ID, or a stamped slip. Save it until your bill clearly shows as paid.
Pay a little before the due date
An online payment is usually quick, but it can take a day or two to show as paid in the system. Pay a day or two before the due date so it posts in time and you avoid the late payment surcharge that is added after the due date.
This site does not take payments
This page only shows you how to pay. The bill check on this site opens your official bill so you can see the amount and the due date, and the payment itself happens in your own app, bank, or office.
