What This Is

The Demand Notice (DN) is the bill for your connection charges, issued after the technical survey. To pay it at a bank, you print it from the official portal and take the printout to a designated bank branch.

Under NEPRA's rules you have 30 days to pay the Demand Notice, with a further grace period, so print and pay it promptly to keep your case moving and avoid the notice expiring.

What the Demand Notice Covers

Under NEPRA's consumer service rules, the company issues Demand Notices for the connection's capital cost or connection charges and for the security deposit.

Connection charges: These are based on the work and material needed for the approved connection. The exact amount comes from the company after it processes the application.
Security deposit: The security deposit is issued with the connection-charge notice. For a change application, the previous deposit may be adjusted against the updated amount.
Payment instructions: The notice should show its due date and the designated banks that are allowed to receive the payment.

Deadline and Payment Rules

Normal payment period: NEPRA's consumer service rules give 30 days to pay the Demand Notice.
Grace period: A further grace period of up to 30 days may be allowed on request. Submit the request at least 3 days before the original payment period expires.
Where to pay: Pay through the company's official online facility, where available, or at a designated bank named on the notice. The bank must issue an acknowledgement receipt.
After payment: The company assigns the application's final connection priority after the Demand Notices are paid.
